The probationary period is one year. Party organizations should act in earnest to guide and observe probationary members. The obligations of a probationary member are the same as those of a full member. With the exception of the right to vote and stand for election, the rights of a probationary member are the same as those of a full member.
预备党员的预备期为一年。党组织对预备党员应当认真教育和考察。预备党员的义务同正式党员一样。预备党员的权利，除了没有表决权、选举权和被选举权以外，也同正式党员一样。
